Sharlene is a zine librarian and comic artist based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Her work explores folklore, childhood, and sapphic imagery with a playful edge. With every piece, she aims to invite communities to use art to build a shared cultural history. She has lead workshops at the American Writers and Writing Programs Conference, the Utah Library Association Workshop, the Young Adult Novelist Conference, and others.

As a zine librarian, she stewards the oldest public library zine collection in the nation. Sharlene also co-chairs Salt Lake's iconic Alt Press Festival. In her free time she hosts elaborate dinner parties and spends time with her extremely anxious cat.
